Michigan State University has won the bid to host FRIB, the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams. As the usefulness of the cyclotron we have is winding down, we will now be able to modify and expand it into the FRIB. This DOE funded project will bring several hundred scientists to MSU, along with a temporary boost of several thousand construction jobs ( Read more... )
